Community Arts Projects

- Due to the elimination of arts funding by Guilford County,
the High Point Area Arts Council announces that its
Community Arts Projects Grant program will be suspended
until these funds can be restored or replaced.
Community Arts Projects grants are awarded once a year to nonprofit organizations for arts projects that benefit High Point area residents.
Applications for Community Arts Projects are evaluated based on:

Artistic and programmatic merit
-
Benefit to audiences/participants
-
Responsiveness to community needs
-
Involvement of racially and culturally diverse participants as appropriate to the project

Organizational strength of the nonprofit applying for the grant
Generally,
grants are for $1,000 or below, must be matched dollar for
dollar, and are to be spent on arts projects in the High Point
area. The project must be completed and evaluated prior to
June 6, 2007.
Deadline
for applications is Wednesday, November 1, 2006.
Grant applications may
be mailed or delivered
in person to the High
Point Area Arts Council
office at 200 Fisher
Avenue (behind the Ham’s
Restaurant on N. Main
Street). Hours are 9:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.
