Fund Raising
The Arts Council sponsors
two fund-raising events during the year plus the United Arts
Fund Drive to raise funds to support six arts organizations
in High Point—Carousel Theatre, High Point Ballet, High
Point Community Concerts, High Point Community Theatre, Piedmont Artists, and the Arts
Council.
Expo Vino is the Arts Council’s
most successful fund-raising event with a wine tasting and
silent auction in the fall. This event is held in early
November at the High Point Country Club.
The Arts Ball is a formal ball
with dinner and dancing. In 2010, this
event will be held on May 22 at the High Point Country Club.
The United Arts Fund Drive is
conducted January through March each year. The 2010 goal is
to raise $250,000 to benefit arts productions and programs
in our community.
