

John Coltrane Jazz Workshop
Since 2002, the High Point Arts Council has honored the legacy of legendary jazz saxophonist John Coltrane by hosting the John Coltrane Jazz Workshop (JCJW) for talented youth in our community. This year, HPAC is proud to announce a new partnership with musician and educator Titus Gant, Gant School of Music and Jazz.

Eligibility
-
Middle or High School Student
-
exceptional musical ability in bass, percussion, guitar/keyboard, brass (trumpet, trombone), or woodwind instruments (clarinet, flute, saxophone) and more

ONE YEAR of band experience or private lessons
Cost
Early bird discount through April 1, 2026 is $165
$185 after April 1st, 2026
Partial and full scholarships are available for qualified applicants.

Dates: July 20th - 24th, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m Daily
Location: Penn-Griffin School for the Arts, located at 825 E. Washington Street in High Point.
On July 24th at 7:00 p.m., students will showcase their talents in a free jazz concert for the community
