SummerSounds Concert Series is the High Point Arts Council’s 2026 summer outdoor concert series, offering free live music on Friday evenings from 6:00–8:00 p.m. Concerts take place throughout the summer in parks and across the City of High Point, the Town of Jamestown and in Centennial Station Arts Center, making live music accessible and enjoyable for the entire community. This season’s lineup features a diverse mix of musical genres, including reggae, big band, Latin, and jazz.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and relax under the evening sky. Food trucks will be on-site with food and beverages available for purchase; however, outside alcohol is not permitted. At each concert, attendees are invited to donate non-perishable food and household items to support A Simple Gesture, helping residents of Guilford County in need.

The SummerSounds Concert Series is presented by the High Point Arts Council in partnership with High Point Parks & Recreation and Town of Jamestown’s Music in the Park, with support from sponsors including the City of High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina Arts CouncilArts Council of Greater Greensboro and the High Point Arts Council Arts Fund Donors.

This nationally touring sensation delivers the ultimate tribute to the golden era of smooth rock, bringing to life the iconic hits of Toto, Christopher Cross, The Doobie Brothers, Michael McDonald, Hall & Oates, and more.

Leading the voyage is American Idol standout Carsen Webb, whose soaring vocals and magnetic stage presence captivate audiences from the first note. Joining him is the electrifying Melody Hagar, a dynamic vocalist known for her soulful power and high-energy performances that leave crowds wanting more. Backed by an all-star lineup of professional musicians, Yacht Rock Radio delivers impeccable musicianship, rich harmonies, and nonstop energy. Their undeniable chemistry with the audience transforms every performance into an unforgettable celebration complete with smooth grooves, sing-along favorites, and waves of nostalgia.

High Point Washington Terrace Park

Carolina Soul Band, based in Greensboro, delivers the timeless sounds of classic soul and Motown, performing hits made famous by legendary artists such as The Drifters, The Coasters, The Four Tops, The O'Jays, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Smokey Robinson, and The Temptations. Taking audiences on an exciting journey through Motown, beach, and soul music, the band brings decades of hits from the 1950s through the 1990s to life. With an energetic, crowd-pleasing performance style, Carolina Soul Band keeps audiences of all ages clapping, dancing, and singing along to their favorite classics, creating a truly memorable experience for everyone.​

Gavin Maestro is a Greensboro, NC–based, award-winning producer whose work has reached audiences far beyond the Triad. A two-time Grammy winner for his contributions to Cowboy Carter by Beyoncé, Gavin has built an impressive résumé spanning artists like Keyshia Cole, Cam Anthony, Chris Blue, Leikeli47, and James Davis. His production work also extends to film and television, with music featured in series such as BMF, The Chi, and Raising Kanan. Known for crafting sound that adds emotional depth and atmosphere, Gavin Maestro delivers music with intention, energy, and a commitment to excellence that resonates with every audience.​​

Centennial Station Arts Center

Celebrating the 100th birthday of legendary jazz icon John Coltrane, honoring his enduring legacy and influence on music and culture.

 

Titus Gant is a jazz saxophonist, music educator, and nonprofit founder dedicated to advancing arts education and cultural excellence. A native of Reevesville, South Carolina, he began his musical journey in the church before discovering the saxophone at age ten. He earned a full scholarship to Claflin University, where he received a degree in Music Education, and later completed postgraduate studies in jazz at North Carolina Central University. As a performer, Titus has shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Branford Marsalis and Kim Burrell, and has performed for notable figures such as President Barack Obama. His work has been featured on NPR’s The State of Things (WUNC). In 2022, he released his debut album One, blending jazz tradition with groove and spiritual expression. Through both artistic excellence and institutional leadership, Titus Gant continues to shape the cultural and educational landscape of his community, building systems that will serve future generations of musicians.
